$800 may get you a shallow well, but for drinking water you'll have to go deeper. I would say between 3 and 5 k easy. Other than that I don't know nothing else to help you out. You ever get you c.b.? Over.

The well at out old lease was like 30' deep. I would not drink it, but it was good for showers and cleaning game. To my knowledge Steve still has the well pump at home that we had up there. You could probably get it from him. It is rigged to plug in a generator and hook to a 3/4" drop pipe

It ain't hard to drill a 30'-50' well by hand. We've done it twice at my dad's house for his sprinkler system. Hook up a 1.5hp Sta-rite pump and you got all you need.

do you have electric there for the pump? we have a 4" well down app 100' and it's not quality drinking water without further purifying/softening, but good enough to water the lawn and believe it ran 3500$ and that's close to a paved rd. hopefully you could go with a smaller diam well and pump ( less output but enough to get by) maybe get a hook up from a forum member or friend of one. good luck
