We just got a quote for my buddy's private property over off Hwy 53 in Madison, he started the quote at $2700, then found out where we were, went up to $3k, then drove out to look at the site and upped his quote to $3500 cause it's so far off the hard road. I can get the guy's phone number if you want.

This for drinking water? How deep you have to go up there to hit good water?

Where my buddy's camp is they have to go down about 100' and that price was for a 4" well including a 110V pump. It's also 12 miles down horrible logging roads...takes about an hour to get in there with a truck, so probably two or three hours with that equipment.

I dunno much about wells, so I can't really comment on the price and such, but one of the locals said that $2700 sounded about right for the area.
