My predator problem was the next door neighbors 20+ free ranging cats. After losing all my hens to them and not having any luck catching them I just put my dog to work. The new chicken practically eat off him and the neighbors cats are no longer seen in my backyard.
As an aside, the woman that owns them said her cats weren't to blame because they couldn't climb privacy fences...LOL I wish I had a camera when I caught one of them dragging my full size Orpington OVER the fence!
I had to get nasty with my neighbor in regards to his cat, and he is a pretty decent guy. They were crapping in my front flower bed and it became infested with fleas. Plus his 100# dog was crapping in my yard. Had to walk over and give him the "enough is enough" speech. He says, the lady across from me has 14 cats, how do you know it was mine. I'm like, because I saw it and have caught the stupid thing 6 times in my trap. And anyone with 14 cats has a mental issue
And I've caught 7 possums in the last 2 weeks alone. I'm gonna take them to Carlos's new place and turn them loose for his dogs to tree
