$140 seems very steep for the test. If I remember it was well less than 1/2 that for me. I think it was like $30 or $40 at the most.

You do it yourself. Call your local county Health Dept. They should have the test kits or at least tell you where to get them. Follow the directions for taking a sample then drop it off at whatever lab they tell you. Results come in about a week or so. That's it. There is no middleman or anything like that.
