khrs are real nice but pricey, accurate, good trigger and about as slim a profile as they come, get the all metal ones if you can deal with a few extra ounces. I found the pm 9mm in polymer the smallest, thinest lightest, good stopping power and easiest to conceal when wt realy matters. that is in my pocket everytime I leave the house, with a larger primary close by.
My buddy had a hipoint in .45 and it jammed all the time so he got rid of it.
only thing a Hi-Point is good for is to throw at somebody. lol. Kahr makes a good firearm. Taurus has also come into their own with some nice guns and a very good warranty. (lifetime, no questions asked) the Kel-Tec .380 is probably the best gun that manufacturer has ever made.
for a tiny bit bigger in width and wt you get the same # of shots of 9mm/vs 380 with the kahr and better overall quality in all areas, but double the price. I've heard mixed reviews of the kel-tecs
FLDXT, your neither an azz nor are you raining on my parade. In fact, there's no parade to rain on, lol. I wanted to know about such an affordable gun, knowng it must be to good to be true. I definitely am not a "get what you pay for" kind of guy. I'll take a Remington 700 over a whole lot of $1K models! I'll take my old Winchester model 12 over many a Benelli or other higher priced shotgun! And I'll take my $350.00 Rossi over a much higher priced Ruger or Smith anyday...only because they get the job done to my satisfaction.
If the gun is built and performs right, I'm happy..regardless what I paid for it. They're too easy to move on down the road and buy another.
Fact is, I wanted to buy one out of genuine curiosity, just to play with on the range then move on to another owner. It's not a gun I'd use to hunt or defend myself. I thank everybody for their input!
