Tiger Island Outfitters near Cedar Key is hosting a hunt Saturday, May 29th, for "Wounded Warriors", any disabled veteran. A great way to say THANK YOU to our servicemen!
A few of the veterans that had signed up for the hunt have dropped out and we'd like to invite someone to take their places.
The hog hunting is free (and awesome hunting too!), cleaning and packing on ice is free, lunch is free (a fully catered barbecue), and there will be plenty volunteers to assist the disabled veteran in any way needed to get them a shot at a big wild boar!
Any of you guys qualify or know someone, give me a call. I'd love to make arrangements for them to enjoy this great opportunity! Toby Benoit, 352-476-4335
That's great that they do that. What's the going rate on a hog hunt over there?
They get $75, no trophy fees. The hunting isn't exactly difficult; hogs are stupid around corn feeders, but it's a lot of fun and the people are first class!
Glad to hear something good going on like that!
A buddy of mine is a Vietnam vet. I will call him today and see if he is interested. He has had 3 back surgeries and beat throat cancer twice(agent orange), and still gets around ok. Just can't walk for very long, and cannot drag anything
That'd be awesome luv2hunt, let me know ASAP, he's very welcome. We have a golf cart to take him to and from the blinds and plenty help dragging, skinning and quartering.
