Wow, glad it was something so simple to fix! If I remember right the Roof Air unit will bolt on from the bottom. You remove the air vent plate and you should see 4 bolts that hold the unit onto a frame of some sort. Ours were custom made of steel to fit into the units we built. Of course different units might be done differently.

Our shells were made of stainless steel, but a lot of lower cost units use wood framing for their shells. Smart move to check and remove any rotten wood now.

Cant beat that. Just check the brakes sitting long time tend to be bad. Repaire allot of break systems on old mobil homes drum brake parts just rusting away from no use.

Well it's been slow going because of the rain we have been having the past several weeks but I finally got a chance to get into the old RV and make some progress. About a week ago I started ripping out the rotted floor. I got that completed and wanted to give it a chance to air out a bit so I've been waiting to put a new floor in. Well today was the day. At least partly. I installed a base floor of 3/4" oak plywood. Hopefully on Monday next week I'll put down the remaining 1/2" top floor. Then it's on to the ceiling. I had to remove the a/c unit and plug the opening temporarily until I got the floor done. I gcouldn't do the roof/ceiling without doing the floor first because I would step right through it. Also is was growing mushrooms and stinking up the joint so it had to go. Here are a few photos.

The now plugged a/c opening is first. You can see where the leak came in around the a/c unit. And this is how rotted the floor was.

Here's what I accomplished today. There's still a LOT of work to do but at least it's coming along now that we have some decent weather.

Got in there after church this past weekend and put some new 1/4" plywood on the ceiling. We had to completely remove the old rotted wood from the Styrofoam ceiling core and glue this panel up there. It was a pain in the rear to say the least. When I took the t-braces down today it sagged a little up towards the front. Might have to redo it. I used some Tough As Nails industrial glue to glue it may need to use something different. Anyhow, here's what it looks like now.
