Nice find and you can't beat the price! They make a sealent specificly designed for sealing around roof airs on Rvs. It seals, but remains flexable so it does not crack. Of course the name escapes me right now, but when I remember it I'll come back.

Cool seal

Sent from my DROID RAZR

Cool Seal works, but that wasn't what I was thinking of. It's been a long time since I worked in the RV Industry but I think the name of it was Colormetrics, or something like that. It was a clear sealant that came in tubes like chalking. Had to be warm to put in on, as it was fairly stiff out of the tube. Once applied it sealed and remained flexable so it would not crack when the RV flexed.

Great thanks for the tips on sealant. I can get the Koolseal down the street at the Sherwin Williams. I'll look up the other stuff and see what the price difference is. :>)

Well got into the RV again today to investigate the reason why the generator wasn't making power. I snooped around the generator and wiring in the back and worked my way to the front where the RV circuit breakers were. Everything checked out ok. I did find some romex wiring that had been chewed by some furry little rodent but he didn't chew into the black or white insulation, only the outside sheathing so I wrapped it up good with electrician's tape and moved on. I finally made my way to the battery compartment where the main start battery and two RV accessory batteries are wired together in parrallel. I discovered there that one of the positive wires from an accessory battery was disconnected from the main battery. I reconnected it and went back and started the generator. Then I went inside the rv turned on the lights and a/c's and everything worked!! Woohoo!

I'm glad it was something simple... So next thing is to remove the roof a/c where the leak was and start to repair the water damage to the roof. Can't wait to get that thing in the woods.
