The only ones(2) I have lost were because of darkness and heavy fog found the one the next day and the one in the fog with 5 friends that night. So my luck streak may be thin!!
I did loose my very first buck to a trespasser though!

just sayin ya could make some cash sellin rocks to these lousy shots, lol.
I guess he's talking about me since I couldn't find that forkhorn I shot and I'm the only one who's posted anything about losing a deer lately....
I went and shot my muzzleloader a few hours after cause I knew I had a good solid hold on where I wanted to hit him....it keyholed and hit way high and right....which is where the blood indicated I hit him. We trailed him for well over 300 yards and into a swamp where we lost him. I'm not saying that 100% for sure it shot much differently than my point of aim , but I really feel like I did my part when I squeezed the trigger. It shot fine when practicing, it did keyhole once but we adjusted the load and didn't have any more problems until when I shot back at camp after losing the blood trail.
