youre the only one that can do most of the stuff, (class,pics/prints) the forms are not realy difficult or complicated. if you realy hate paperwork, have the $ and don't mind doing most of the work, go for it.

As a matter of fact, I just did the process today at the Tampa office. Took less than half an hour from the minute I got there, filled the online application, fingerprints and photo. The total fee is $117 and covers License and fingerprint process. I used my hunters education certificate as training requirement.

If you have an office close to where you live, it is your best option as they'll make sure there are no errors. They said it will take 4 weeks to get my CWP by mail.

I was going to do that instead of mailing it in but they said an appointment was required and id have to wait six weeks for the next appointment opening. Guess a bunch of people from the gun shows had booked all the appointment slots.

Bigjim, I assume since you hunt that you have taken the hunter safety course. If you have done that, then you should only have to spend an additional $130 or so, depending on how cheap you can get your passport photo and fingerprints. That's it. If you have taken your hunter safety course, you don't HAVE to take the cwp course, although I would recommend taking it because you will learn something.

This is the text my cousin sent me bout it.
Fwd:
$65 for class
$10 for pass port photo
$5 for finger print
$115 to fill out form and send off for ur license fee

Most of that you can do yourself, pass port photo you can get at walgreens for $3, filling out the form is not diffcult , the police or someone in lawinforcment needs to take fingerprints, your sharifs office can do it electroniclly free i think, the packet with all the info is free to anyone who wants it,, Are you ex military? if so you don't need the class just add a copy of your dd214 or a hunters saftey certificate with your app ,,,if you can read you can fill out the app...I feel it is too much for the class, just my 2 cents worth
