You're talking about the Lake Okeechobee Waterway. From Stuart to Ft Myers is 154 miles long. Ft Lauderdale to Stuart adds another 80-90 miles. With the various locks, no wake areas, alligators, etc. you can't run full tilt the whole way. Just the run from Stuart to Ft Myers is considered a full days trip by most. The locks only operate from 6AM to 9:30PM.
