Not bad. . . But then I have to pay for dealer transfer and the dealers in my town have stupid transfer fees of $35 By the way. . Anybody know a good place I might be able to buy magazines for my son's new 20g it came with the original, but a couple more would be nice. Even better an aftermarket that holds more than two
Geesh...
Under normal circumstances you can take your time, shop around, listen to advice from other parties and especially from some members of this forum. Tons of experience and knowledge can be had here! BUT, I personally believe you did okay in this purchase - You're happy, your son is happy - end of story.
As for the extra magazine - I'd check gunbroker.
You will be lucky to find a mag. for that gun, and if you do find a used serviceable one or old new stock you could pay as much as you gave for the gun.
once he gets used to using it (assuming the current mag works) adding rounds as needed may actualy be faster then swapping out a mag. finding/buying/s&h could be difficult and pricey. why not use the $ for ammo or a 22. between now and next Christmas you could find a nice 22 for little more than a few mags. NOW THE NAYSAYER HATERS can jump all over my case. I know when I was his age I'd rather have a 2nd gun than some mags.
I was the op. I paid $89, that's why I said $45.
Also the last minute shopping thing can be blamed on my wife. She doesn't like guns and it took me months to convince her to let me buy my son this gun...lol
Hoss it does not matter if you paid $50 or $500 if you are happy with your purchase it was a good deal, You are the only one that knows the situation in your household.
If the boy is happy and you are happy then I say.... :rockon
