Only time I ever feel like I am going to get blisters is when I get wet feet. (not an issue in this drought lately). How the guys in So Fla hunt in that water and not have jungle rot is beyond me

We hunt barefooted or in Croc's!

Pretty close. I wear these in the glades. http://www.basspro.com/Simms®-Streamtread™-Sandals-for-Men/product/1112290501112/355594
I rarely get blisters but on my trip to St. Vincent I got one the 1st day the size of a quarter on the side of my big toe. Put some moleskin on it and just kept on hunting the weekend.

when younger in gymnastics team, high bar was one of my events and the hands got alot of tears/blisters. treatment then was to pierce if still unpopped, let fluid drai out, cut away dead skin, apply mercurachrome which stung like hell but dried up and toughened the skin quick, and get back up on the bar. haven't seen mercurachrome in years.

My dad used to put that and merthilolate on every cut we got. I spent half my kid years with orange skin.

yup a small little bottle of pain. iodine was probly the part that turned things orange. something in it (mercury?) was probably found to be carcinogenic or sumthin. it did work though.
