Hey Allen I got a question, would that habitat be considered hardwood swamp? That similiar to the area I been trying to hunt, do u hunt it for bow or gun or both, do u switch up habitat to suit seasons? Where would u set up a stand? see many bucks?

Its a little hardwood tree line that runs E/W thru some planted pines. Where the cypress tree is, is actually a little cypress pond within that tree line. I put a X on that pond

This is in my new lease, so I haven't really had time to scout it thoroughly. Its a fairly easy walk in so i will probably put my 2-man stand here, and maybe find a good tree to climb for archery.

The deer really like to walk the edges of these tree lines, so I set up on them 90% of the time

Alright so this is my setup, got the ladder stand down in the corner there setup at the edge of the cypress stand and the hardwoods. It kinda looks a long ways but its the only way I know in so far. I use the climber to hunt the field during gun, how would u set up this? Im just asking cuz I know u take bucks every year im sure and I wanna get a damn buck lol. In back of that cypress stand is a palmetto and pine habitat and is fairly open and the field in the middle is very open, Ive seen deer walk out in the mornings and my dad had a shot at a 6 pt in the main field. The does like the area where my stand is to feed and lots of rubs but never see bucks, where do u think the bucks are bedding?

Your area looks sweet, if you decide to hunt it are you gonna hunt it during archery or both?

Looks like you have a good funnel between your ladder n climber spots. I love spots like that. Little thin hardwood tree lines, Ill take over anything

I may not hunt my lease too much in archery. Can't shoot does in there but I can on the adjoining WMA, so I am on a meat hunt in bow season

Of course...I had over 800 deer pics on my lease in one week (on 2 cameras) so I might re-think it...One definite shooter buck

Hey Brett, are you only allowed on certain roads in GS? I see what look like some well-used roads off that main road that will get you much closer to where you want to put your stands. One comes in right about where you're parking and another 1/4 mile south in the big curve.
