Does anyone have a child with Aspergers?
Can you recommend good schools?
My boy is getting the shaft from his new school 2 days into kindergarten. They just aren't set up to support kids with AS I guess.
Not aspergers but something very similar. Where are you located? Hillsborough county has some good programs.

No but even our smaller Fl County's have specialists that deal with these chidren and their needs. The school should have assigned the child a specialist and have identifed the need and designed a program for him. Do a few follow-ups with your specialist. They should be able to help after you give them some insight.
One thing we have learned dealing with special needs. Your school system has programs and resources to help, but they are not out there in plain daylight. You really have to be resourceful and dig to find the info you need. Don't be afraid to go over people's heads either. "No child left behind' act is there for a reason. If he has autism and is in a "typical" K class he won't survive. You need to get him out of there asap
