I know I've been delinquent Rock. Sorry bro. Life's been pretty hectic and I've stopped all but posting on FS and Florida Waterfowler. I'll try and make FOHAF a habit.
G.O., we can use anything you want to donate. More than anything we need people's time and money. I need volunteers to help cook and clean up, keep water on the course, and guide groups around from event to event. We will be needing a couple of nice hogs to bar-b-que for lunch, as well as any other food items anyone wants to donate.
Ammo and targets are covered by FWC. However, we will also take donated .22 LR, 20 ga bird shot (8 or 9) and any clay targets we can muster.
The most expensive part of the entire endeavor is the food & drinks. Last year we had 325 attendees and it ran right at $650 to feed everyone. We take donations (tax deductible) but we do not want to charge for the event, nor do we want to turn anyone away.
For those who want to help and stay the weekend with their families, there are A/C cabins available for volunteers and large groups (like scout troops) to use. Space is limited on the cabins.
