I have a "knowledge test"/ interview with the City of Lakeland next week. It is for a Lab Technician position either in a waste water treatment plant or the city water supply system.
I worked for Nestle at the Zephyrhills water bottling facility for over a year, so I am fairly familiar with most aspects of water quality testing and microbiology. I'm currently working at a liquor distillery that produces fruit juice, liquor, and premade, carbonated and noncarbonated mixers (margaritas, sparking wines, etc), so that has provided me with a decent bit of knowledge as well.
Does anyone on here have any experience in city/waste water labs or know anyone who does? This is a great opportunity and I want to prepare myself as well as possible. Any help would be much appreciated.
Good luck man. Great and interesting career!!
Thanks! Water is actually pretty boring as far as chemistry/microbioloy goes. Definitely have job security though.
Last I heard from you, I thought you were getting a promotion at Nestle? Working at a booze plant sounds like right up my alley :tequila
Good luck
Good luck, I work for the local water dept. Do you currently have any lics. in water or waste water?
