if you don't have an owners manual call/write/e-mail mossberg for one and learn how to completely strip it down(very easy and simple) and re-assemble. don't go out of your way to abuse it but you won't have to baby it either. disasemble brush out crud with a toothbrush and keep it clean and LIGHTLY oiled and it should last you many years. some black powder breach plug grease on the choke tube threads keep those working easy. keep an eye out for different types of used bbl's to increase versatility.
Thank you for the great infos and your suggestions
Can I ask you something real quick? Can I add any kind of choke (not talking about any brand, mossberg 500 chokes) that I want on this shotgun right now?
Or do I need to do something to it?
any mossberg choke sure, and many aftermarket chokes are avail. you will need a choke tube wrench/key, they are cheap but you will need one. you could improvise something temporarily.
