Just curious is anyone has had their hands on any of the new Savage Edge or Axis rifles yet? I know they are inexpensive, you get what you pay for, yada, yada, yada, but I would like to hear a review of one them by a forum member if possible. Also wondering if they are gonna have problems with them like Remington was having with their 770's.
I can't help with that particular model. But I can tell you the model they sell at Wally mart for like $397 with the Accu trigger and scope package is one of the top 5 most accurate out of the box guns you will ever shoot. It has a very smooth bolt cycle and is just an all around smooth gun
Go to a walmart that sells guns and look athat one before you buy one
I can't speak of that particular mdl, but a gun nut/builder/smith buddy of mine and best bench rest 500 yd shooter I've ever seen, his # 1 choice for a custom gun action is mauser and # 2 is savage, and I believe they are the only large mfg's that still make their own bbl's.
Savage has come a long way. Had 300 mag. in the 116 with the accu trigger. great rifle.
