I have a remmington 700 sps 30.06.

Right now it has the internal clip for the rounds. Ive seen them with a different stock with a click in clip for the rounds. I wanted to either get a kit to add this to my stock or get another stock that has this feature.. I DONT WANT the drop door . I want to be able to carry a clip and out it in.. Its a clip that sits flush with the stock..

Im also looking to get rid of the composite stock and go to wood.

Any links would be appreciated.. thanks.

I have the 770 in 30.06 with the synthetic stock that has the removable clip that sits flush with the stock. Be warned, the spring that holds retention on the clip has already broken on mine after minimal use. I have not had it fixed yet but at this point I can get the clip to stay in the stock but it is a pain to remove.

is it the trap door that flips out or the locking in clip?

It is a removable 4 round clip with a cheap IMO trigger type release. I do not know enough about these rifles to suggest putting a 700 in a 770 stock, however they do not look to me that disimilar. I would just warn you that if the answer for you involves the same type of clip and release as the 770, look into a solution for that cheap spring that comes installed in the clip. After mine broke I did some searching on the boards and found this problem with other people as well.

I can try to send you a couple pics of the issue if I get some time this afternoon.
