i like the simplicity as well. very easy for anyone entering the handgun market to clean properly. Minne was brand new first time fired except the test shot at the factory. I put 165 gr winchester white box thru. no ftf or fte. seems very reliable so far, now to get more ammo and go back to the range in a couple weeks. 🙂
when S&W was first taken over by amc they came out with the sigma as the cheapest gun cost wise to produce they could find, and it showed. and as with even expensive guns at first their are often bugs to work out. the used their name to pawn off this pos. I had a cop practicly begging me to buy it as part of a multi gun deal for like 65$. couldn't fully load the mag,mag would fall out after a shor or 2, just horrible. now another owner and bugs are worked out. I do like the size, feel,sleekness/simplicity.
X4, when they came out with it, it was S&W's way to enter into a new market and they were junk... That's why they got so much bad publicity... They were called rattle traps... Not sure on the new ones, haven't shot or owned one....
I have one, its ok. Not my ideal carry gun, I am comfortable with it, and confident. Would like to pick up a compact 1911 or a rami.
here is a pic of my sigma 40 ya'll.
Back to range yesterday to do some shooting put all 50 rounds on an 8" target at 7 yds. No ftf or fte. very happy with this purchase!
