Its always bugged me that I was not able to put chokes into my 20" Mossberg 500 Persuader barrel. The magazine tube is longer than a normal 500 so, not all barrels will fit unless I change out the magazine. I have a 28 inch barrel that works BUT its too ling for turkey hunting etc.
Problem solved!! I found a gunsmith off Shotgunworld.com who is going to tap the barrel. That will allow my shorter smoothbore barrel to take chokes! Off to the gunsmith today!!!! Apparently, the True Choke system will work based on my barrel thickness! The best part was the price. Under 80$ including shipping. Yeah... I am excited.

Is he local or do you need to ship it off? I want to get my turkey gun barrel cut down by 4" and the forcing cone lengthened, and mirror polished. This long ass barrel cost me a turkey opening day of season
