I shot only 200 grn silver tips in my .358 for years and had nothing but dead animals to show for it. They are a devastating round,unfortunately I can no longer find them and use reloads which I'm not real happy with.
in an effort to be less argumentative and more politically correct please allow me to go back and re-phrase my comment about ballistic tip bullets "biting for hunting", I did say that was JMO right? sorry for the rough language, it just slipped out. replace the biting part with ( they are not my first choice for a hunting bullet). I will try and choose my words more carefully in the future.
If Ballistic tip ammo was the only choice provided for rifles, I would sell all my guns and bow hunt only. Thats how strongly opposed to them I am. Just my opinion though

I think they suck too. I want a bullet that'll knock em' down and blows all their innards out when it hits them.
