Must be nice to take your fifth week of vacation this year and go out to "the woods" all week, sh_t life's good down in Disney Land.... Damm, everytime I talk to you your camping, off to the lease, going to your beach house, on your boat, and you call me big money.... Yeah right.... Call me tonight if your not out at Ruth Crist Steak House with your wife or girlfriend... Got a scope for that 760 carbine that is perfect for that old gal....

Here's the pics of the first 2 phases. Sorry it took so long. Only 10-12 more coats of oil, and she's done.

Not bad for a white boy.... Awesome job, saw it yesterday and saw it unassembled prior to start. The scope is a 2-7x40MM Wide View (Rectangular View) Weaver V7-W Steel Scope about the same age as the gun... Perfect set up... I think I talked T-bone into getting the entire gun professionally cleaned and re-blued before it gets put back together. That gun will be so nice he won't even want to take it in the woods anymore... Turning an old truck gun into a respectable tool with history.... Very cool...

Got another 2 coats of Tru Oil on the stock and fore grip. Almost all the pores are filled in, and it's looking really good. I figure about 4 or 5 more coats, and then it'll be time to start putting on the wax coats.
