Welcome to the forum. Post some pics of your new gun. What did it run you?
Great caliber selection, I own 3 guns chambered in .308 (Remington 760 Pump Carbine, Browning BLR Lever TD and Winchester 100 Semiauto) and they all shoot great with whatever I feed them. They all have there favorite ammo of course, just like I prefer Shrimp over Clams, but at 100 yards they all shoot 3" groups with any ammo I put in them.
about the best caliber choice for realistic hunting imo (the 7mm08 also). it's the 30-06 of short actions, works very well in carbine/ultralights (my prefference) or in Any other platform. for inexpensive storebought ammo the corelokts are hard to beat. I like partitions, they have been around a long time and work well at all velocities. 150, 165 or 180 gr's will all work well. gonna have to try severall and see what your gun likes best. but at 100 yds and less anything will be good enough as long as it doesn't have a gummy tip on it.
What was the grouping size?? Just curious.
The trigger pull was just crisp and clean I expected the accuracy would be awesome.
