all personal preference. i agree. but i think what usually gets this discussion going is when people are told they have junk when they say they have a mossy. i talking Mossberg not the Maverick line or Remingtons Spartan line. Remington has been making guns along time. All of the express models are being made in mexico along with 5 out of the 7 models of the 700. the 710 and 770 also. People get what they can afford, if you really wanted something cheap and function like you think a mossy does, get a Charles Daly pump.

Bottom line is they are all just fine if they kill that bird , deer. hog, it worked and you don't have to spend a lot to enjoy hunting.

I think the way the gun fits your body is more important than the type of gun it is. if it shoots where you are looking then keep it and be gratefull whatever brand it is.

Just because you buy something that costs less than the competition doesn't mean it's junk or "cheap". There are a lot of manufacturers out there riding on a good name earned years ago, but not producing the same quality. But since their products have a certain name stamped on them, they charge a premium for it. Some folks pay it thinking they paid the most, so they got the best. Or maybe it's not the most expensive option, but hey, it didn't come from Walmart so it must be better than what those cheap people bought.
