Try a $25-40 red dot first, I think you will find it satisfactory...if not yu can always put it on a .22 or something.
If I was gonna go with either of the 2 you showed it'd probably be the 1'st one, but I'm old school and have no exp with either, and have issues with durability and if they get wet/dirty. yes you're persuader is not a basic mdl 500 and not able to fit the numerous diff bbl's the mdl 500 can. how much are they soaking you for the persuader bbl? I prefer the shorter bbl's and just recently sold 3- mdl 500's with asst bbl's and stocks and am looking to put together a 12 ga 3" pump with 20" bbl and open rifle sights zeroed at 25 yd's so even with my eye sight, and open sights I can keep a 1-2" group at that distance and 4-6" at 50. I still have 1 mdl 500 left with a 28" vr with accuchokes, maybe you would wanna trade gun for gun and I will throw in the millet sights when found, then when/if you want to buy other bbl's down the rd ( which I would highly recomend ) you can buy the mdl 500 style, think on it.
Either of the BSA sights are good the first one is better close range fast pickup view(very large viewing area) for target, super for close shots. The second one one is more scope "like" a little slower picking up target and better for the med to longer range shots.
Also Try #1 Buck( 3" 24 pellet) and see how it shoots in your gun.
I've killed lots of hogs with it.
