Went looking for a H&R ultra hunter in 25-06.Looked at nordics in wildwood,no luck.Called darrin at pats pawn and gun in leesburg,low and behold had one in stock used in good shape for $229.00 w/ cheap scope and rings.looked it over,no rust 26'' heavy barrel,laminated wood.sold!!,stopped by wallyworld for ammo 100 gr rem corelokts,no 120 gr in stock.Picked up a nikon 3-9x40 pro staff w/bdc reticle for $169.99.Get it home and ran a few solvent patches through the bore,perfect no rust or pitting.All that needs to be done is see how it shoots!

Shoots ok,trigger needs a little polishing.I have seen greybeard outdoors forum has folks that know how to tweak and tune H&R rifles with great results.
