I keep mine right on my center console , but i have tinted windows. Its like this. If someone can "see it in your vehicle" and calls the cops and then says you flashed a gun and can describe it (as in black, revolver, or silver ext) ten the cops come and find the same one described how are you gonna explain that the person described exactly what you have in your vehicle?

thats how i see it. AS LONG AS ITS "NOT VISIBLE SEEN" FROM ANOTHER PERSON OUTSIDE OF YOUR CAR ITS LEGAL. It dont matter if it had 25 snaps and it was 25 steps. If you CAN VISIBLE SEE THE GUN (Another person outside of your vehicle) then its illegal. Im just stating from what ive read.

I have dark tinted windows.

My dad keeps his right on the transmission hump and had been pulled over by a cop before, told the cop it was there and nothin was said about it being illegal. What I've always heard like crock said, if it's visible its illegal. It'd be kinda hard for someone else to spot that one lol

And I may be wrong on this but, I thought the Atleast two steps away and must be cased law was a law for the legal way for someone to carry any firearm for whatever reason they were carrying it. If they didn't have a ccp

My understanding of the law....
“Securely encased” means in a glove compartment, whether or not locked; snapped in a holster; in a gun case, whether or not locked; in a zippered gun case; or in a closed box or container which requires a lid or cover to be opened for access."

It does not state where it has to be once it is snapped in a holster. Snapped in a holster laying in the front seat seems legal to my interpretation

As long as noone can see the actual firearm and be able to recognize it as a firearm.
