going to be in the market for one soon. went to may dads for dinner tonight and he gave me a tool box full of ammo. his sister brought it to him. it belonged to my uncle who passed away last year and was a retired sheriffs deputy and vietnam vet p.o.w.. his son i presume will get all the firearms, which is to be expected. most of it is .38sp. a few boxes of wc and swc and a few boxes of hp's. there were 4 or 5 boxes of 9mm as well, some ball ammo and some hp's. i do not currently have a 9mm. i have had my eye on one or two. not quite sure what i am going to go with. i like the sig226 and i like the cz rami 2075. would consider an xd as well. some of the ammo is marked parabellum. i would guess it is older? i have not seen that before. if any of you know of a decent deal please let me know. it may take me a month or so to be ready to purchase, especially with Christmas around the corner. i definitely will be trying to pick one up though.
thanks

don't be afraid of the XD's.. they are great guns at great price.. not sure if you can find them (at this price) anymore, but about a year ago I got my fullsize and compact xd9's from cheaper than dirt for 385 plus shipping/transfer..

I sold both my glocks for 1000 and bought new xd's and had $ left over for a few hundred rounds of ammo..

You keeping the .38 ammo? If not, I'd be interested in it. Got a pistol for my daughter on the way, s&w model 12-2 airweight. She'll need something to practice with!

By the way, if you order a gun somewhere, Buccaneer Pawn in Bradenton does $10 FFL transfers, plus the $5 background. But I think you have a buddy in Palmetto with a gun shop, right?

the browning high powers are legendary. and my sig 226 just gets better with age and familiarity, and would check out the kahr steel single stacks for cc and don't forget H&K if you want to go for some high end stuff. the glocks and springfields are good, accurate and reliable for a better price.
