I think you must have the same problem as me, simply can't leave anything alone,lol. take it from a guy that puts a 900$ scope on a 300$ gun. I think you should try and leave it alone. if you cut the bbl again you will have to re-crown it again also.

i think i have the same gun. i got it from my grandfather along with his colt .38sp.
