LOL if you think THEY stink, try dissecting an armadillo!

Actually......

I ate it several times years ago. Honestly, not bad. Would I do it again? Not unless I was starving but it really was good eating. Poop mans pork

Since this has taken the turn and gone from killin' to eatin', several years ago when I was still workin', there was a man on our crew that was an excellent cook. His little wife would tell the other wives not to eat anything he might bring to the shop for dinner. We were able to enjoy several dishes he had prepared that were really tasty containing one or more of the following critters we see in the woods: possum, coon, rabbit, and bobcat. The bobcat stew was the most interesting and probably the best tasting "exotic" dish I'd ever eaten. Treefarmer

Well I have racoons that keep eating the cat food on my back porch. These are city coons, not sure how I feel about eating something that has been eating garbage. Not quite fond of killing for nothing, but I'm sick of feeding these damn things.

Hey man,

If you go to Seminole County Animal Control, ie the Dog and Cat depository over by the court house on 17-92 they will "lend" you a live trap to catch the coons. If you catch one all you do is call animal control and they will come out and take them away. This is for residents living in residential areas of Seminole county. I got one and trapped two Possums in the backyard a year or two ago and it worked great.

Hope you let the possums go, they are awesome.

opossum's carry flees bad more so than raccoons. By state law any nuisance raccoons possum you have to put down on the spot. you can not release some were else no mater what. Just wish it was the same for Farrel cats but they will come pick up then for disposal. yes your suppose to have a permit its free. You just call Animal control.
The law are for good reasons release animal spreads diseases and other problems

send them coons to me! lol

I just started trapping them. You do know some folks will eat every coon you can catch, right? They might even donate to you for your effort..
