Nassau or Jennings Forest for squirrels.

You guys find you some red maples out there and camp out on them when they start putting out the red 'helicopter" seeds. It should be in about 2 more weeks they will start. They will abandon everything else and feed on them. You can flat work on them with a 22 from a distance, as there will usually be multiples in one tree, and they don't seem to run. Sorta like squirrel crack

Yep, I found a few trees that had just started in Green Swamp and they both had several squirrels all but falling out of the tree trying to get at them. I was using my fowler so there was a bit of commotion with the smoke and all, but they hung around pretty close and within 5 minutes they were right back at it.

I understand the WMA permit for Nassau is a tad pricey these days?
