Since that area is bad does anyone have any other suggestions please
Roland: After the season closes in the areas I hunt (Green Swamp, Upper Hillsboroug) I take a couple of trips to Croom. So far no issues and had a blast taking my share of squirrels. Squirrel hunting is done very early, little before sunrise until probably 9:00 am. After that they don't move that much and in my opinion is time to go home. As you can imagine, not a lot of hikers, treehuggers, etc. in the woods at that time.
If you go, the best area, in my opinion, is right off Wildfire lane. There are a couple of parking spots. The area is all oaks and the squirrels are there.
I'll be there february 20, 27 and March 6. Just PM me if you need more information or if you want to met for a morning hunt.
