thats a good reason to go barbless. after having to do so in fly fishing catch and release areas. flatten the barb then file it flat, the hook sets easier and if you keep upward pressure on the line you won't lose the fish. and it does less damage to the fish if you plan on releasing it and also pulls right out if you catch yourself

you cant find barbed ones anymore.

They have them at WalMart, KMart, Sports Authority, Dick's, and every tackle store I've been in.

Worse I ever did was try getting a ballyhoo off of a sabiki rig,ended up burying one deep in my thumb. Damn ballyhoo.
