I had a friend who caught a good snook over 10 # once on a rattletrap and trying to unhook it one of the treble hooks became lodged in his thumb. I'll never forget him telling me how painful it was with that fish shaking and flopping while connected to his thumb.
Got to be more careful! I think I've done that once or twice myself before. Thats why I grab them by the gills now and not the mouth. :cowboy
I hooked my uncle in the shoulder once with a treble. He was NOT happy with me. I had an excuse, I was 12, and he was IN THE WAY! Had to cut the hook, and push the barbed end thru on one and snatch out the other, cus it went straight in and wasn't long enough hook to push out. Man, was he mad at me. As a matter of fact, I don't think I ever went fishin with him again after that. He was only 4 years older than me, and was killed 3 years later in a car wreck. What a memory to have forever. But I won't take anything to forget it.
