So do any of you get sold when they tell you the reel has anti corosive bearings or your pole has a lifetime warranty..
I personally only buy lifetime warranty poles and shimano reels with the anticorosive bearings..
lifetime rods if it would be full replacement free but I think they are over rated.The reels I use I have had for many years plus a few new ones but I do clean after use so the "better"(super costly) reels on the market are not in my budget!

Check out the quantum catalyst. its far better quality than the shimano stradic ( $179.00 new) and much cheaper at only $120.00 new. I have a 20 series and it totaly blows those shimanos away with its ceramic disk drag, 5 anti rust bearings, titaniun bail and magnetic reel set. the max drag is 18pounds compared to the 8-10 pound drag of the 2500 series shimanos, all in a lighter and more compact unit
i know your not comparing my shimano to your munsters reels? lol
