A buddy of mine is going to add more line to his fishing gear and he doesnt know what knot to use and neither do I. He is tying powerline pro braid to powerline pro braid. Im sure a uni to uni would work but he wants to see what everyone else uses. This is the one part of rigging up new gear I hate. Thanks in Advance.
I use a reverse albright knot for every line to line and it has never done me wrong.
Braid to Braid - For spinning tackle a back to back uni makes sense, smaller profile I believe. For heavier gear although it seems like a pain in the a**, once you get used to tying it, a back to back bimini is probably the way to go.
I use the albright for tying braid line to a larger mono leader. Last time I fished on a party boat they used a blood knot to tie a smaller weight mono leader on a heavier braid I had spooled up. Seems it kept the snapper from getting spooked
