Had a good camp and hunt really nice folks there. Saw 3 hogs in camp and 1 doe. I figure the dog hunters are doing me a favor by running it to me! I need all the help I can get. I was hunting with my 6+8 yr old. Probably scared more game than anything. We about froze camping. Thought it was only going to be 48 but it turned out to be a lot colder. Had fun camping though. got stuck big time. had to have some one pull me out.The mudhole I got stuck in. I couldn't see because of the glare of the sun and ran right into it. I didn't have fun but my boys did. got pulled out by another hunter.Scotty started his first fire with a "flint" and steel.
Funny how kids can enjoy what we as adults can deem a catastrophe. 🙂

Good stuff! Keep them young fellers in the woods, making good memories and enjoyin' the Good Lord's creation. It'll all fall into place and one day there will be a post about Scotty and/or his brother's 1st deer or hog!
