I do agree that McCain wasn't a good choice. That was the worst mistake the right wing could make.....followed by an even more idiotic VP nomination.

The only reason Obama is in office is because everyone hated Bush so much and wanted something on the total opposite side of the spectrum.

My point stands though, voters (on either side) rarely research the topics before making their decisions.

Am I the only one who saw the interviews conducted outside polling stations asking voters how they felt about different politicians policies? They were asking trick questions such as "Do you agree with Obama's commitment to stay in Iraq until the job is finished?" The answers they received were horrendous on both sides, but the Obama voters were impressively stupid. Most of them couldn't identify which continent Iraq is on, nor find it on a map.

This country is screwed altogether, IMHO. Even the state of the genetic pool is disgusting, last statistic I read 3-4% of babies are born with genetic birth defects. Not that I'm discriminating against disabled people, it's just terrifying to consider the immensity of those numbers. 1 in 800 or 900 kids (found conflicting data) will be born with Down Syndrome.

Slowly but surely, state by state, we are eliminating hard work, moral courage, and taking care of yourself and your family and replacing it with a total dependency on the government to suckle us from birth to death.

I personally think this is an important thread, and want to make it clear that I hold no ill will to any man who votes, thank God we live in a country where we can speak our minds without getting a visit from the police.Without freedom of speech there would be no right to keep and bear arms.I personally voted for Huckabee in the primaries,we need a flat tax, everyone pays there fair share, illegals, welfare collectors, everyone. No free rides, imo I think if everyone paid there fair share this country would start rebuilding itself

+1
unfortunately there are too many lobbyists and special agendas that will keep this from happening any time soon.

A flat tax would be great. My wife is a CPA and you should see what people are getting away with. The poor and the rich get good breaks all the hard working people in the middle get the finger.....
