Welcome from a fellow newbie and Florida native! Chokoloskee was always a place to catch snook, never have hunted down there.
We used to have a lease between Madison and Perry. That whole Big Bend area up to GA has some nice deer. Too bad the old woman who owned the land got greedy and we gave up the lease. My dad and some others found a place up in GA between Macon and Savannah that they've held now for about 5 years. I've been up a few times, but it's a bit far to hunt it like I'd like to. I kept hoping when gas prices went up they'd decide to find a lease closer to home!
Looking forward to reading your posts.
Thanks!
I didn't hunt Chokoloskee, but areas north and east, throughout the entire glades actually. Used to get lots of good sized hogs around the old jet port. Kept our airboat and buggy at Monroe Station near the loop road.
The farthest north I used to hunt was Aucilla River on 98 and San Pedro Bay on 27 (old Buckeye land). Of course alot has changed up there since those years.
I wish warm welcomes to all you new members on this 4th day of december!
BTW, I noticed your company. I think your not far from where I work.
Do you do any refinishing of existing wood floors, like the kind in older built up homes? I have original heart pine floors in my house that are in need of being refinished.
Mark
Yes my company started in new jersey. My company was built on sanding and refinishing and then to installations!
