if youre talking about the 2-man ladder stand set back off the leftside of the north rd, along the back edge of a large open scrub area, I've used it about 4 times this year. do I think it's right?, no not realy,BUT it is on public land, he has never been around, that I,ve seen, it was large solid and well made to hold my mass, and I dearly wanted to get up off the ground as I haven't been able to do so for years due to vertigo. plus I hauled away all the garbage left under it beer and gatorade btl's and figure I left it better than I found it, meant to leave him a thank you note/christmas card. I figure if your going to leave a stand out and it's easily accesable, with no note not to use it then expect someone to use it. I would have gladly left if he showed up with thanks and offered to buy him lunch sometime. glad you enjoyed the day, I figurd you would end up seeing a hog while squirel hunting ( get any tree pigs? ). glad to help out another newbie to the area whenever possible. Strunes did it for me, now pass it forward

I left Homossa around 12 and headed to Chass...saw nothing "new" until I was leaving. About 100 yd from the hut on the right side (going out) there are some pines (before the storage area of the trucks)...saw a squirel that must have been as big as a cat. By the time I got out of the truck, he was long gone...stayed in that area walking abit more and nothing.
Got to Chass just after 1 and walked around until about 2:30...yep, the stand is just off the North Road as I recall off on the left side a few yards in off the road (no vehicle road that is). Sounds like sound advise from many--on public land, tree stands can be used (leave the area better than you found it--live by) and on private land only with permission.
