Anyone making it out there to fish? I made it out last weekend and only caught two keeper trout. Caught some runts but it was a slow day. The weathers starting to heat up finally. Hows everyone else doin?

Yep, I hope to be out there before too long. Gonna try to do a little freshwater fishing this spawning season as well. Bought a couple little spincast outfits to keep in the truck for fishing the retainment ponds, canals, etc. We have a little pond by our office here that ain't but about 3 feet deep at the deepest, and even though there's mostly tilapia and turtles, there are some bass and brim in there, too. Watched a small bass chase the crap out of some small minnows for about 5 minutes the other day. Good thing my office doesn't overlook the pond, I'd never get any work done!
yeah you never know where you'll catch those bass. I pulled an 8 pounder out of a retention pond last winter. I couldnt believe it
went out last saturday. fished the flats around South Tampa. no baitfish around yet. did manage to catch a few speckled trout. but all were to small. that was the only action all day.
