I simply, for the life of me cannot figure out why the state of Fl can't find the money to fix this thing. We spend money on every other stupid project, why not spend some on a product that people actually use.
The pier is(WAS) packed with people fishing every day, and the friendship trail was used by hundreds of joggers/cyclists/ roller bladers on a daily basis.
Not to mention, the mangrove snapper fishing was excellent off of that thing

Oh well. But they will pay to take it down, then build a new bike path on the other bridge. Bunch of :clown 's they have done the same crap here with a fishing pier. It was deemed unsafe years ago. I still go on it and slay the snook gonna be sad when they get the money to remove it. fortunately my county is broke as hell due to all the other dumb azz buisness decisions they have made. Like the Murdock village project so the pier will be there for a while.
