I deserve a good swift kick in the azz for saying that. I know your joking but my point was that everyone thinks hogs hve special powers and you need some kind of special gun to kill them. What he listed that hew has wouldwork just fine. I've been hunting in Fl my entire life and have killed hogs with everything. Just gotta shoot strait.

well if you gotta just have a new toy,,,,,,,,,,, two years ago i bought a set-- thompson center prohunter, s/s fluted all, muzzy--204ruger--270win-- and a 460s/w mag 20" barrell. put nikon glass on all barrells. as of this season i have reduced it to the muzzy - and the 460s/w with plans to pick up a 30-30- barrell in the future.
i find my self taking the 460 daily,, short - light- deadly accurate -and kicks less then my ruger 44mag carbine, with 200gr hornady sst rounds.
only drawback or con if it matters is it is a single shot, not a issue here , but to some it could be. another reason i carry a sidearm while in the woods.

I shoot a T/C Prohunter .280 ,Browning A-Bolt .270 have killed many deer here in Fl. as well as Ga. never any issues
