I use this blind from sportsmans guide. http://shop.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=552574
sets up quick and with 5 minutes you can brush it in and be set. I move alot also and like the ability to conceal my movements.

At 13 he should be able to use a climber no problem. I have 2 man stands also but be careful on the size for 2 people. They are great for 1 person with plenty of room.

Wally world has a ground blind kit right now pretty cheap. A little camo wrap and some poles for like $20. I'd still brush it in though. Good luck with it. You're gonna enjoy the time spent in the woods with your son.

dony is that a 2man blind? How roomy is it?

yeah those "2-man" ladders won't hold any 2 men + guns I've ever seen. even a thin man and kid would be a little cramped.

It's not a 6 man tent or anything but you can fit 2 fold up chairs in there and have room to put packs and stuff in front of you no problem. I'd think that it would work fine. I will say that I never sat in one of the expensive blinds so I could be missing the boat there.
