Hey guys. I've been kicking around the idea of buying an aluminum game cart for some time, but I just couldn't get over the $120 price tag for such a simple concept.

I have a bike trailer for my daughter and was looking at the design thinking it would be a good game cart. I didn't want to trash hers so I looked around for them on Craigslist. My buddy end up having an welded aluminum Schwinn bike trailer for which he was missing the part to attach it to the bike. He was going to toss it out so I scooped it up and went to work. I should have taken pictures, but only thought about it afterward. Basically you take the entire fabric off the trailer and use the sling the kids ride in as the method to carry game. Move the handle (to make it a stroller) to the front to use to pull the cart. I even used quick disconnect bolts from the handle so I can unhook it and fold it into the frame.

So now I have a game cart with 20" wheels that detach, weighs less than 15 lbs., folds flat to 5", and can hold me at over 200 lbs. It is fairly wide so it won't be tippy and the wheels are a little towards the middle so the load won't be so heavy. I know it isn't as nice as the ones you can buy from Bass Pro, etc., but it was free. I hope this helps out some of you who are looking to "build" a cheap game cart. (I'm 6' 6" and the handle is pretty much perfect for my height. You may need to shorten it to fit you...)

Game cart.

View of sling seat.

Folded flat. (It actually gets flatter than then when you move the wheels beneath the strap and bungee down...)

Thanks man. Yeah, that is why I kept the original fold away arm on there... you can see it folded back under the sling. It is boxed aluminum and welded to the main frame. I hope to be able to max that sucker out!

This is the one i got.. and i love it and would never get any other one ever!

This cart was originally made by API. Me and johnl have the same exact one and purchased it from API. but it seems now that REDHEAD had now bought the design.
