brother has the tikka t3 .270 and say he will not shoot any other rifle
I think the tikka rifles are made by sako which are partnered by Beretta who make a top notch gun I own a Beretta shotgun and love it they claim it is the fastest in the world, (I dont know if it is though)
i had a tika 308 on layway at gander had to pass cause of work. but i shot a guys at the range in 308 and it is a mighty fine smooth and accurate riffle. you will not be disappointed with one in any way. they are the working mans line of sako's (they are sako's) as for goin with the 300 you can just spend a few extra bucks and get it magana ported i had a handgun done by them and three friends of mine have their win mags done by them, one has the one you can take the end off the gun or leave it on the other two have the one that is in. look them up here. http://www.magnaport.com/index.html hope this helped some.
i have a Tikka T3 in a 7mm-08 and it is my favorite rifle.sweet shootin gun and very accurate.SS barrell with black compo.i have it set up with a leupold VXll.been thru alot of bumps up and down climbers but it still shoots like brand new.Hornady 139 grain B-tip knocks em down every time :rockon
Thanks again guys for the info. I've always been a 700 fan also but the salesman put a Tikka in my hands and I really liked it. I will be buying a rifle soon and am seriously considering the Tikka. Now if I could only make up my mind on the caliber. Think I'll get my son a .270 and me a .270wsm or the .300 win.
