I can still remeber my first shotgun like it was yesterday. My dad brought home a single shot Ithaca 16 gauge with blonde wood. He made me sand it down and refinish the wood by myself. Man, I loved that thing. He used to take me down to the VFW Hall for the Sunday afternoon turkey shoots. Those old men would get to drinking and I would kick their butts, bring home a cooler of meat every weekend and sometimes a hand full of cash. I think I was in 3rd or 4th grade at the time.

Well.. It came out pretty good. My son and I took it out to shoot some clays off a fence on Sat. He REALLY enjoyed it. It was still a bit heavy for him, but it wont be for long. It gets locked up with Daddy's and he has already asked when we are going out again!

Below are some pics of the stages it went though. Other than the reblue and the jb-weld, my son did all the work himself.

Great job, my father and I did my first gun just like that one in 1983 together, an old H&R 20 Gauge single shot push button ejector. Great job, you should feel proud, and I already know he does, just like I did... Awesome man!
