Hey Y'all,
I'm looking at getting into hog hunting here in Fl and will be getting a rifle and pistol in the near future. My question is about mag capacity. I read that you can only have 5 rounds, I assume 4 +1. So for instance I buy a rifle that only comes with a 10 round mag and ditto for a pistol. Do I have to figure out a way to plug the mag so it'll only hold 4 rounds? Whats the law on this here?
I know back in Pa I had to plug the barrel of my shotgun for deer season.
Thanks for any help y'all can offer me

You can only use a rifle with a removalable magazine which holds 5 rounds or less, ie. No AR's, AK's or SKS's with 20 or 30 round mags. Now a lever action which is a tube feed like a Win 94, Marlin 336, etc.. and holds 6, 8 or 10 depending on caliber is just fine.

The key is "removable magazine"!!!!

Shotguns only have to be plugged for migratory birds and water fowl... That's it...

If you're hunting hogs on private land, you can use any size magazine. If you're on public land, you have to adhere to the 5-rd mag thing. WMAs you'll have to check each one's regs, as some don't allow centerfire rifle at all.

If you "plug" your AR/AK magazine make sure it can not be converted back to high capacity while out in the field.
If you just stick in a piece of wood or plastic in the magazine it is not considered acceptable as you can just remove the floor plate and take out the "plug". Make sure it is permanent conversion.
